Meeco installed biggest solar energy plant in Zimbabwe

The sun2live energy generating system is an environmental friendly renewable energy solution. To meet the local requirements of the client, we have highly customised this energy solution. A special static tracker enables the most efficient positioning of the solar modules, which are oriented to two different directions in order to ensure the highest and over the day optimised energy production. Furthermore, meeco has placed the ground-mounted photovoltaic system at two different locations. The first 152 kWp sun2live solution will be installed close to a lake, from where the facility obtains the water for its production process. The sun2live system will generate the energy to run the pumps to process the water. Another 64 KWp sun2live solar power solution will be mounted at the company’s facility itself and will shave off the diesel consumption as up until now the complete energy demand is being covered entirely by diesel generators. This PV system will lead to an annual reduction of approximately 134,000 litres of diesel and will furthermore save 280 tons of CO2emission per year.

We will provide our sun2live solar energy system according to the turnkey project execution model. Therefore, we have designed this highly customised and individual solar energy project and installed it in order to deliver the completed installation to our customer.

In comparison to expensive, polluting and high-maintenance diesel generators, PV energy systems such as the sun2live offer an eco-friendly solution, which additionally ensures lower costs for generating electricity.”
